On the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'PM Vishwakarma' yojana for traditional artisans and craftsmen on 17 September 2023. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big gift to the country today on the occasion of his birthday, which will directly benefit the needy and poor people. Let us tell you that PM Vishwakarma Yojana was announced by the Central Government in the budget session of the financial year 2023-24. This scheme was also announced by PM Modi on Independence Day this year. The government will spend Rs 13000 crore in this scheme. Advanced training is also given to the beneficiaries of this scheme. What is Vishwakarma Yojana ?


Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches "Vishwakarma Yojana" at India International Convention and Expo Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi. PM Vishwakarma yojana will be fully funded by the central government with an outlay of Rs 13,000 crore. The objective of PM Vishwakarma Yojana is to provide financial assistance to artisans. This will promote the practice of traditional skills of artisans. This will help in delivering the products and services properly to the artisans. For the first time, 18 traditional trades have been included in the Vishwakarma Yojana. At the same time, people joining under this scheme will have two types of skill training. This includes first basic and distance advanced training. The beneficiary of this scheme will get a toolkit worth Rs. 15,000. Apart from this, the beneficiary will also get a stipend of Rs. 500 per day along with skill training.

Successful applicants of Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana will be given training sessions and this will help in increasing their employment prospects. At the same time, a provision of providing financial assistance equivalent to semi-skilled wages to those who take training has been included in this scheme.

Benefits of Vishwakarma Yojana


You will get many benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana. This includes PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card, skill upgradation related to basic and advanced training, collateral free credit support up to Rs 1 lakh (first installment) and Rs 2 lakh (second installment) at a concessional interest rate of 5%, incentives for digital transactions. And recognition will be given through marketing support.

Under the Vishwakarma Yojana, a toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000 will be provided to the beneficiaries. Also, the beneficiaries will get a stipend of Rs 500 per day and will also be provided with basic skill training.

Requirements for Registration of PM Vishwakarma Yojana
